Focus timer
Twenty five minutes is short enough that starting is easy and long enough to get past the setup phase of most tasks. That is really the whole trick: the number is arbitrary, the commitment is not.
The part people skip is deciding what the block is for before starting it. A timer with a vague intention behind it just measures how long you sat there.
Take five when it goes off, and stand up for it. The break exists to reset attention, and staring at a different screen does not do that.
